           A RARE PALE AGATE                             清十八世紀    瑪瑙甪端
           ‘LUDUAN’ INCENSE BURNER

           AND COVER
           QING DYNASTY, 18TH

           CENTURY

           skilfully carved in the form of a luduan standing foursquare,
           the removable head of the mythical beast depicted with the
           mouth open and revealing its fangs to ventilate the interior,
           further portrayed with two tiers of curly mane, supported on
           a well-hollowed body resting on four sturdy legs, the chest
           of the beast with a long strip of scaling and adorned a collar
           suspending two bells and three tassels, the semi-translucent
           stone with mottled inclusions
