an sui fu (‘peace and fortune’), above a large 珍玩 信非尋常 所得而有且花甲一周 適符 史蒂芬•瓊肯三世(1978年逝)收藏
panel enclosing a long dated inscription, signed 歲序 遇合之奇 良可幸也 爰命工人取中洞
rui Chang of Changbai and dated 13th year
of tongzhi, corresponding to 1874, followed 佳石 依式仿作 款識悉遵舊製 並錄宋富鄭
by a two-character seal reading Rui Chang, 公語於左 用致嘉祥兼自勗焉 同治十三年
reserved on a ground of dense scrolling clouds, 歲次甲戌元旦長白瑞昌偶識
the other side with a scaly dragon striding
amid clouds above mountains and a walled
city, with a further inscription and signed Nan
Xing shi zhi (‘made by nan Xing’), followed by
a four-character seal reading Changbai jiuzu
(‘the old family of Changbai’), the narrow
sides each decorated with five bats among
scrolling clouds, all below pendent plantain
leaves encircling the neck and a band of keyfret
around the rim, the interior mouth carved in
relief with three bats in flight
height 9⅞ in., 25 cm
