A rare small white jade tripod
incense burner and cover
Qianlong
The attractive stone of even colour, smoothly
formed around the body supported on three taotie
mask feet, the loose-ring handles each suspended
from a further animal-mask, the domed cover
surmounted by a coiled mythical beast with a
single horn amidst the flowing mane, silver-inlaid
wood stand.

A reticulated green jade ‘floral’
incense burner
19th century
The green jade with some cloudy inclusions
carved with six luxuriant peony blossoms around
the body on a reticulated leafy ground, each of
the two handles formed as a branch issuing one
chrysanthemum blossom and two buds, the
incense burner mounted on a separately formed
spreading foot similarly carved with a reticulated
floral scroll.
