           Heavily cast and supported on three
           short legs, the shallow incense burner of
           compressed globular form, with a ridged
           waist and a stepped rim, with a four
           character Xuande mark in seal script within a
           recessed rectangle.

           A CLOISONNE ENAMEL ‘LOTUS’
           CENSER
           Late Qing dynasty
           Of compressed globular form, rising to a
           straight neck with wide mouth, flanked by
           loop handles issuing from the mouths of
           mythical beasts, the exterior decorated with
           two rows of large lotus blooms borne on leafy
           scrolling stems against a turquoise ground,
           above a lappet band encircling the splayed
           foot ring, the rim, tops of the handles and
           inside of the foot gilded.
           6 3/4in (17.2cm) long, across handles
