A LARGE BRONZE FIGURE OF BUDDHA
Ming Dynasty
Cast seated in dhyanasana, the left hand in karanamudra, the right
hand resting on the knee, clad in loose robes with incised borders,
one end draped over the shoulders and across the back, exposing
the chest above the pleats of the inner skirt, the face cast with a
benign expression and flanked by long-lobed ears, below tightly
curled hair covering the tall, domed ushnisha surmounted by a
double-jewel, all supported on a double lotus throne.
