          SONG-MING DYNASTY (960-1644)                        A signifcant number of ancient sites were excavated during the Song
          The vessel is of lobed form, decorated to the body with three large taotie   dynasty and there had been a great interest in ancient bronzes. Especially,
          masks which are highlighted with gold inlay. The two loop handles are detailed   archaic bronzes with gold and silver inlays from the Xia dynasty (c. 2070-
          with bands of archaistic patterns and the three legs have stylised blades.  1600 BC) were highly appreciated and copied during the Song dynasty. For
