         The interior of the bowl bears the imprint of a leaf fired to a   SOUTHERN SONG DYANSTY (1127-1279)
         yellowish-buff colour, in contrast to the matte glaze of dark brown   The conical bowl is decorated on the interior in resist technique
         colour which covers the interior and exterior stopping just above   with branches of blossoming prunus on a dark-brown glaze against
         the foot revealing the stoneware body.            a variegated olive-beige ground. The exterior is decorated with
         5æ in. (14.6 cm.) diam., box                      isolated ‘buff spots’against a blackish-brown ground that stops
