The vase is finely potted with a high shoulder incised with 現藏家於 1999 年購自以上藏家
a double-band below a tube-shaped neck and a wide flaring
mouth rim covered in gilt foil decorated with flowers. The body
is tapered towards the foot and covered in an ivory white glaze
stopping at the foot rim revealing the incised two-character mark
‘hou yuan’, which can be translated as ‘back garden’.
