            A CARVED CINNABAR LACQUER
            WALL VASE
            QING DYNASTY, 18TH/19TH
            CENTURY
            modelled as a vase with a globular body rising
            to a tall flaring neck and short mouth and
            supported on a wood stand, carved to the body
            with a central shou roundel amidst stylised
            chi dragons, all between a band of cicada and
            keyfret motifs, the neck with a band of spiral
            cloud roundels alternating with ruyi clouds
            below a further register of stylised chilong
            dragons, the mouth with a keyfret border
            26.4 cm, 10⅜ in.
