the gently rounded sides rising from a short tapering foot
to an everted rim, painted to the centre with a yellow-
enamelled scaly five-clawed dragon in pursuit of a flaming
pearl, encircled at the well and to the exterior by two similar
dragons, all reserved on a rich cobalt-blue ground, the base
with a six-character reign mark in underglaze blue
