with gently rounded sides rising from a straight
foot, applied overall with a vibrant cobalt-blue
glaze stopping neatly at the rim and foot, the
base incised with an apocryphal six-character
Xuande mark within a double circle beneath a
clear glaze

KANGXI MARK AND PERIOD
with deep rounded sides rising from a slightly
tapered foot to an everted rim, applied overall
with a rich liver-red glaze thinning at the rim
to reveal the white body, the base with a six-
character mark in underglaze blue within a double
circle beneath a clear glaze
