ZHENGDE PERIOD (1506-1521)

明正德 琺華釉蓮紋秀墩

The body is decorated with a wide band of incised lotus scrolls decorated in slip on a turquoise ground,
framed by two rows of raised bosses. It is applied with two animal-head handles. The domed top is
decorated with a central fower head surrounded by four lotus leaves.
