The body is decorated and gilt with shaped panels enclosing a lady and two The vases are decorated in brilliant enamels with a continuous scene of

moulded kui-dragon handles. The base with an apocryphal Qianlong seal on horns, cymbals and drums, playing with animal puppets, riding hobby-
mark. horses, carrying lanterns and lighting fre-crackers, between blue enamelled
composite foral bands. Each vase is applied with a pair of animal-mask and
14º in. (36.2 cm.) high ring handles. They both have three gilt-ground iron red seal marks on the
bodies and apocryphal Qianlong marks on the bases.
