A LARGE BLUE AND WHITE BEAKER VASE
SHUNZHI PERIOD (1644-1661)
清順治 青花麒麟鳳紋大花觚
The upper body of the vase is decorated with a fearsome mythical beast growling at a phoenix in fight,
amongst plantain trees growing from rocks with a mountainous landscape in the distance. The concave
midsection is decorated with foral sprays above a band of stif leaves.
