The Daoist Queen Mother of the West sits
on a throne with both feet pendent and the
hands held within one another in front of the
chest. The face is benevolent in expression,
and the hair supports three phoenixes with
extended necks.

A GILT-BRONZE FIGURE OF XIWANGMU
MING DYNASTY (1368-1644)
The Daoist Queen Mother of the West sits
with both feet pendent holding the Peaches
of Immortality (pantao) in both hands. She is
dressed in heavy robes, and wears a phoenix-
form headdress.
