AN UNUSUAL WHITE-GLAZED ANHUA-
DECORATED STEM CUP
YONGZHENG SIX-CHARACTER INCISED
MARK IN A LINE AND OF THE PERIOD (1723-
1735)
The deep, fared sides of the cup are
decorated in low relief under the glaze on
the exterior with two phoenixes shown in
fight between peony sprays below a key-fret
border. The reign mark is incised in a line
inside the pedestal foot.

AN UNUSUAL IRON-RED AND GILT-
DECORATED BOTTLE VASE
KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
The bulbous body is fnely painted in iron
red and gilding with two fsh, a crab, and
a shrimp emerging from a band of rolling
waves topped with pale green-glazed froth,
below fames and a well-modeled dragon
applied around the neck as it pursues a
faming pearl applied on the shoulder, all
below a decorative band at the mouth.
