A FAMILLE ROSE BOTTLE VASE

JIAQING SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARK IN
IRON RED AND OF THE PERIOD (1796-1820)

The bulbous body is decorated with three
roundels formed by the wufu in fight
amidst a leafy branch bearing nine peaches,
alternating with a fruiting and fowering
pomegranate branch, a fowering crab apple
branch, and lilies, all surrounded by fying
insects and butterfies and scattered fower
sprigs that continue onto the neck. The
interior and base are covered in turquoise
enamel.
