           A WHITE AND APPLE-GREEN JADEITE
           FIGURE OF LIUHAI

           The young immortal is shown standing on
           a rocky platform, holding a string of cash in
           his raised left hand and another cash in his
           right, while a three-legged toad clambers
           up onto his right shoulder. The stone is of
           mottled green color with areas of apple green
           inclusions.

           AN UNUSUAL AMETHYST QUARTZ OVAL
           BRUSH WASHER
           19TH CENTURY

           The thick, translucent sides highlight the
           horizontal bands of subtle greyish-amethyst
           and pale green color in the stone, and the top
           of the rim is carved in high relief through
           the purple areas of the stone with a chilong on
           each long side and a bat at each end.

           A MOTTLED BRIGHT GREEN JADEITE
           FIGURE OF GUANYIN

           The tall, slender deity is well-carved standing
           atop a rocky platform, holding a small
           child in her hands, with lingzhi fungus and
           a plantain tree to the sides. Beside her is a
           young acolyte standing on one foot with his
           palms pressed together and with a celestial
           scarf billowing above his shoulders and
           trailing down the sides. The stone is of bright
           green color with areas of bright apple-green
           mottling.

           jadeite fgure of Guanyin with two acolytes sold at
           Christie’s Hong Kong, 1 June 2011, lot 3789.
