               A BLUE AND WHITE ‘FIGURAL’ BRUSH POT
               KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
               The brush pot is strongly potted in cylindrical form, delicately painted in soft tone of
               cobalt blue with a continuous scene depicting courtiers and a warrior accompanied by an
               attendant holding a fan and other officials paying homage to the courtiers. All are set on a
               pavilion terrace amidst rock formations and plantain trees. The centre of the recessed base
               is painted with a flaming pearl.
