A SMALL FAMILLE VERTE ROULEAU VASE
KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
The vase is decorated with a continuous scene from a novel depicting
an oficial and a soldier in combat as a young maiden looks on, the scene
interrupted on one side by a pierced rock, all below a peony band on the
shoulder and bamboo and fying insects on the neck.

with related decoration were sold at Sotheby Parke Bernet Hong Kong,
29 November 1976, lots 605-607.
