The interior well hollowed, the pale green
stone carved in the shape of a peach
supported on a five-petalled flower head,
the exterior decorated in low relief with
scrolling foliage, extending to form the
reticulated handle in the shape of a flower
spray highlighted with russet inclusions, wood

WASHER
18th century
The deep washer carved as a flower head,
the exterior with a smaller peony blossom on
a branch which trails down underneath the
vessel to form a base, the stone of a mottled
celadon hue with faint russet inclusions.

Ming Dynasty
The first cup set on a short foot, the exterior
with three bands of circular bosses, with
loop handles; the second with four bands of
bosses to each side, with archaic characters
and twin chilong handles; the Mughal-style
cup of oval, open flowerhead form, with small
twin foliate handles.
The largest 12.cm (4.3/4in) wide across the
