with a writhing four-clawed dragon amongst
lotus flower heads and a foliate meander,
wood stand; together with a white jade ‘key-
fret’ plaque, 19th century.

Comprising: a pale green jade lock-form
plaque; an oval plaque carved in relief with
a bat beside a double gourd flask, issuing
leafy fruiting stems, wood mount; a pierced
oval plaque carved with a boy to the centre
and encircled by confronting dragons, wood
stand; and a pale green and mushroom group
modelled as a small openwork screen and
stand.

COVERS
18th century, the mount and boxes later
The first domed cover carved in openwork
with peony blossoms, forming the lid to a
carved zitan box carved in low relief with
further floral motifs; the second finely carved
cover with a lotus and dragon knop, mounted
on a gilt-metal repoussé cover and matching
box. The largest: 8.5cm (3 3/8in) diam. (4).
