The first brightly enamelled with cartouches enclosing boys at play
in a terraced garden, all reserved on a turquoise ground with a lotus
meander, cut down at the neck; the smaller vase with a short neck
and ruyi-head bands bordering the ‘hundred boys’ scene. The largest:
24cm (9 3/8in) high (2).

Each formed as a baluster vase with stylised handles flanking a
waisted neck, raised on a faux-bois stand, the body enamelled with
scenes from ‘Romance of The Three Kingdoms’.
