                                                             pair of Mandarin pattern octagonal plates; a
                                                             smaller bracket rimmed dish with a European
                                                             gentleman seated playing a flute, within
                                                             borders of further European figures and
                                                             scattered flowers; and a lobed teapoy and
                                                             cover decorated with a lady serving tea to a
                                                             gentleman in an interior.

                                                             Each square tapering body with relief-
                                                             moulded squirrel and grapes designs, with
                                                             cartouches enclosing bird and flower scenes,
                                                             flanked with loop handles, the lids with five
                                                             apertures. Each: 24cm (9 1/2in) high (4).

                                                             SUBJECT’ BOWLS
                                                             19th century
                                                             The first of square, petal-lobed form, brightly
                                                             enamelled to the exterior with European
                                                             ladies, gentlemen and children with stylised
                                                             animals, in a tree-strewn garden, the interior
                                                             and base glazed turquoise; the second
                                                             depicting an animated European gentleman
                                                             in a garden scene, apocryphal Qianlong seal
                                                             mark to the base.
                                                             The largest: 14.5cm (5 3/4in) diam. (2).

                                                             of candlesticks; a condiment jar and cover;
                                                             a tazza; a fish strainer; three tureens and
                                                             covers, two with matching trays; a ewer and
                                                             a set of tea cups; all with a typical gilt ground
                                                             design with foliate meanders and cartouches
                                                             enclosing figural scenes. The meat tray: 38cm
                                                             (15in) wide (118).
