SHANGPING
Guangxu six-character mark and of the period
The globular body finely enamelled with a swooping phoenix and
vigorously striding five-clawed dragon pursuing a flaming pearl
amongst auspicious multi-hued clouds, the shoulder with a lotus flower
head meander, the waisted neck similarly decorated with a ruyi-head
band at the mouth rim.

Each face finely enamelled with scholars at leisure and floral
arrangements, the waisted neck with multiple shou characters, flanked
with beast mask handles suspending rings, the base with a mark in

Jiaqing
Of gently flaring form with everted rim, divided into two registers by
moulded gilt bands, each with continuous scenes of amorous couples
in gardens and interiors, the cover, cover interior, base and base
interior all depicting similar scenes. 9cm (3.1/2in) high. (2).
