A MUGHAL-STYLE WHITE JADE
‘CHRYSANTHEMUM’ DISH
18th century
Crisply and thinly carved from translucent
white stone with six rows of slender petals
radiating from the central roundel with stylised
seed heads, the underside also worked
with petals with one row forming a thin foot.
11.5cm (4 1/2in) diam.

AND TRAY
Late Ming Dynasty
The cup carved to the exterior with archaistic
motifs, flanked with two flanged loop handles,
the hexagonal tray carved in low relief with
two writhing dragons amongst leafy tendrils
and a shou symbol. 21.5 cm (8 1/2in) wide
(2).
