                  page, are rendered    in cloisonne enamel upon a pair of Vases,
                  forming   part  of the  decoration.    No.  642.    Fu-so  dai-ichi
                  MUSUME     KON-SHO   TAMENI    KIMI  HIRAKU.     No.  643.    HaNA
                  HOTTSU SHiRU SHiN-i SAN-KO FUMU TSUKi KiTARE.         The inscrip-
                  tions,  taken   together,  are   a  burlesque   of  a  well - known
                  Japanese poem which       is  said  to have been composed by a
