The cover is decorated with a central roundel enclosing a scene of three deer
below a pine tree intertwined with fruiting peach branches with several crane
in fight above. The sides of the box and cover are decorated with four shaped
'bird and fower' cartouches separated by gilt bronze dragons amongst clouds
and the base is decorated with a foral diaper ground.
