Each square seal is surmounted by a bearded
chilong standing foursquare. The seal face is
uncarved. The stone is of mottled brownish-
green tone with russet markings.

WHITE JADE BRUSH REST
18TH-19TH CENTURY
The brush rest is carved in the form of
bamboo, with a smaller shoot and leaves, and
an inscription, wen guang she dou, carved on
one side. The other side shows the ‘nodes’ of
the bamboo picked out in black.
