A LARGE GREENISH-WHITE JADEITE FIGURE
OF A FEMALE IMMORTAL AND A PHOENIX

The female immortal is shown standing
holding a ruyi scepter, wearing long layered
robes falling in graceful folds and a shawl
draped around the shoulders and over
the arms. Her face is carved with delicate
features, and her hair is drawn up into a
topknot. Beside her is a phoenix grasping
a peony branch in its beak. The semi-
translucent, sea-green stone has some yellow
mottling and opaque white inclusions.
