106. ith a mouth reminiscent of Goryeo period dish-shaped
Bottle Wmouths, this bottle has a slender neck and spherical
19th century, Joseon body that rests on a small footrim. The glaze is thickest at

H: 22.3 cm, W: 16 cm areas left unstained on the base reveal a buff-colored body.
These types of bottles were used for storing oil for lamps and
were made from the late Joseon dynasty into the twentieth
century. Those made from white porcelain are also known
and were probably used for ceremonial occasions.
