the flattened ovoid body rising from a stepped foot to a
waisted neck and galleried rim, flanked by a pair of elephant
handles suspending loose rings, the elephants each with long
tusks flanking a curled trunk, worked in low relief around
the exterior of the vase with bands of ruyi heads around the
shoulder and just above the foot, the neck with a band of
circular pommels, all surmounted by a domed cover with
similar decoration and an elephant finial atop, the animal
standing four square and caparisoned with an elaborate
saddle, the stone of an even white tone, wood stand
