each rectangular panel deftly carved in relief with a pair of peacocks amongst flowering trees, one panel finely incised on the
reverse with pavilions in a landscape, the other incised with a poem composed by the Qianlong Emperor accompanied by two
apocryphal Qianlong seals (2)
