The present lot is particularly rare for the use of the
rock crystal material and the exceptional carving.
Originally, it had a stained ivory stand, characteristic
of stands used for Imperial works of art.
Compare a related pale green jade carving of a
boat, Qing dynasty, from the Qing Court Collection,
illustrated in the Compendium of Collections in the
Palace Museum: Jade 8 Qing Dynasty, Beijing,
2010, no.125.
此水晶雕漁樂圖擺件設計繁複、工藝複雜、整艘船
上共雕七個人之多，且形態表情各異，生動逼真。
此擺件原配染色象牙底座，現已失。
類似的玉雕船形擺件，見北京故宮博物院藏一例，
著錄於《故宮博物院藏品大系：玉器編8·清》，北
京，2011年，圖125。
