A VERY RARE ROCK CRYSTAL CARVING OF TWO SAMPANS
18th/19th century
The clear transparent stone skilfully carved in openwork as a large
boat constructed with a pavilion-like enclosure on the hull with various
figures in a leisurely positions, another figure resting atop on a large
long mast tied with a qin, further carved with two boathands at the
bow, the side with a smaller boat connected with a rope enclosing a
figure seated next to a wicker jar in front of an awning.
