EMBLEMS’ MOONFLASK, BIANHU

The rounded flattened body brilliantly and vividly enamelled in pink,
yellow, green, blue and white with beribboned Eight Buddhist
Emblems, bajixiang, surrounded by stylised lotus blossoms borne on
foliate scrolls, all reserved on a turquoise ground, rising from a short
gilt foot to a cylindrical neck flanked by a pair of reticulated gilt-bronze
handles each in the form of an archaistic phoenix.
