A VERY FINE LARGE WHITE JADE BOULDER
Mid Qing Dynasty
Deftly carved in varying layers of high relief with a mountainous
riverscape enclosing two sages standing at a pagoda admiring the full
moon and another figure crossing a bridge with his qin, surrounded
by gnarled pine trees issuing from rocky outcrops amidst waterfall and
lingzhi sprays, the smoothly polished stone of an even white tone, with
a spinach-green jade stand, wood stand and box.
The boulder 23.4cm (9 1/4in) wide (4).
