A FINE JADE CARVING OF A RECUMBENT DOG
Song Dynasty
Well modelled with a long slender body, the head turned backward
resting on its front legs, carved with flared floppy ears, the well defined
ribs flanking the pronounced backbone detailed with ridges terminating
in a long tail curling up its hind leg, the smoothly polished stone of
warm yellowish-grey colour with attractive russet shades.
