Moxa
aijiu
Moxa seems to have developed from cauterisation, and to be earlier than acupuncture.
In the 3rd century AD moxa seems to have been used only on one or two places on the
body of a patient. The erotic novel Jin ping mei mentions moxa as a sexual stimulant
before intercourse (ch. 78).
Mucus (female)
yinshui
Erotic novels glorify women who secrete mucus in large amounts even before intercourse
or without intercourse simply by observing another woman in love. The mucus is
variously called ‘Spring water’, ‘Jade juice’, ‘water of the waves’, ‘bubbling spring’, or
‘erotic ford’ and is drunk by men as an aphrodisiac.
