Of square section, flaring towards the mouth, each
side carved in high relief with a clambering chilong
peering into the interior, the straight handle spanning
the mouth carved with an entwined dragon, the
semi-translucent stone with cloudy inclusions.

A WHITE JADE ‘DRAGON’ CARVING
17th/18th century
Finely carved in a crouching pose with a long curved
neck, the tail tucked between its legs and held
close to the body, the head surmounted by a pair of
antlers, the bulging eyes set over an open mouth,
the lustrous stone with enhanced russet fissures.
