“What makes blown glass shapes like that seen here so
fascinating, is that they seem to capture and retain, as if
frozen in time, the fluidity of the material at the moment
of their creation. When the present bowl was blown, the
huge glass bubble created its own distinctive, slightly
undulating outline, as the material was slightly sagging
due to its own weight.”
