                                                             The first an archaistic bangle carved in raised relief with circular bosses
                                                             on the curving exterior walls; and two seals, the larger of rectangular
                                                             form with a transverse drill hole through the recumbent fu-lion finial, the
                                                             small of square form with a recumbent qilin finial (both chipped).

                                                             A GROUP OF THREE JADE CARVINGS
                                                             Qing dynasty
                                                             The first a rectangular jade belt buckle comprised of two square halves
                                                             surmounting ingeniously interlocking handles, the exteriors carved in
                                                             shallow relief to depict dragons amid clouds, the stone of gray green
                                                             hue; the second a thinly-sectioned pendant reticulated as a calligraphic
                                                             shou character adorned by a small bat, the stone of grayish color; the
                                                             third, a small tube encircled by shallow relief chilong designs, one half
                                                             of the object of calcified ‘chicken bone’ color and half green hue.

                                                             A WHITE JADE CARVING OF A FISHERMAN AND A BOY
                                                             The bearded man with bait basket belted on his back grasping a fish in
                                                             his raised left hand as he stands over a hollow woven basket, his right
                                                             hand extended to steady the right arm of his young son leaning on the
                                                             basket’s edge with a lotus branch in his left hand, their arms deeply
                                                             undercut and the woven patterns on the baskets carefully line-incised.

                                                             All of thin circular section, five enclosing separately carved rotating
           5198                                              nodules, the sixth encircled within a gilt frame, and the seventh a
                                                             pendant reticulated to depict a boy within vine tendrils; carved from

           The larger vase of faceted baluster form with thick, angular walls and   2 3/4in (7cm) diameter of largest
           loose rings hanging from leafy loop handles, the conforming cover
           topped with a large faceted finial (chips); the smaller vase of ovoid
           section with a thinly walled body of flattened pear form banded with   US$1,000 - 1,500
           taotie motifs below the leafy loop handles supporting loose rings, the
           conforming cover deeply undercut as a bat and lingzhi fungus branch.

           Both of tall rectangular and thin section carved from stone of grayish
           color and similarly adorned in lengthy calligraphic inscriptions bearing
           zigang signatures within archaistic cartouches; the first reversed by
           a riverside scene and the second depicting five musical boys and an
           auspicious bat.
