           in flight and perched among on autumnal
           branches of itcho (ginkgo) and leaves, the
           neck and foot with a narrow band of repeated

           By the Ando Jubei Company,
           Meiji era (1868-1912), early 20th century
           Worked in gilt wire and decorated on the front
           with tall leafy stems of daisies on an azuki (red
           bean)-coloured ground, applied with a silver
           rim; stamped on the base in silver wire with
           the seal mark of Ando Jubei.

           Finely worked in silver wire of varying gauge,
           decorated with an uguisu (bush-warbler)
           perched on a flowering branch of plum and
           another in flight, reserved on a grey ground,
           the shoulder with a wide brocade band of
           stylised chrysanthemums and scrolls on a
           mauve ground, the rim with cherry blossoms
           on a tight whorl-patterned ground; unsigned.

           MORIAGE TALL BALUSTER VASE
           By Kawade Shibataro, Meiji (1868-1912)
           or Taisho (1912-1926) era, early 20th century
           Finely worked in silver with brightly coloured
           enamels with a leafy stem of a large blooming
           lily and buds growing at the foot of the vase
           and draping across the front of the body,
           the lily rendered with white and yellow petals
           and reddish-brown stamens, the leaves in
           graduated tones of green, reserved on a
           graduated pale-grey to pale-green ground,
           applied with a silver rim and foot, the base
           signed with the seal of Kawade Shibataro;
           with a plain wood storage box.
