Decorated in enamels and gilt, the interior depicting a group of figures late 19th/early 20th century
at leisure, strolling along the shores of a lake during the momijigari Finely decorated with a continuous rural scene showing fishermen
(maple-viewing) season, sailing boats and Mount Fuji looming in the among thatched buildings repairing and drying out their nets on the
distance, the exterior with two wide bands, one showing a ladies bank, an extensive view over a lake in the background with sailing
seated and composing a poem, the other with roundels enclosing, boats and small ferry-boats and mountains rising in the distance, the
peonies, irises, daffodils, chrysanthemums and morning glory; signed shoulder with a band of millefleurs; signed Yabu Meizan.
on the base with seal Kizan kore o tsukuru. 18.5cm (7¼in) high.
