A white jade carving of mandarin ducks
18th/19th century
The even-toned white jade crisply carved as a mother duck gripping
a flowering and budding lotus stem in her beak, her chick looking
towards her and clutching stems of spreading lotus leaves in its
beak, both birds with stylized beaks and crests and paddling through
foaming waves.

A carved jade peach-form water coupe
17th/18th century
The hollowed fruit surrounded by and raised upon a reticulated mesh
of gnarled and leafy branches issuing three additional small blossoms,
the stone of greenish hue displaying prominent veins of icy inclusions.
