A fine agate snuff bottle

Very well-hollowed, the rounded square bottle rising from a finely
finished oval foot ring, with a subtly flared neck, very gently recessed
lip; the attractive stone of uniform pale gray tone, marked with
concentric bands to one side.

A well carved cameo agate snuff bottle
1750-1860
Well hollowed, of rounded square form with a slightly spreading neck,
flat lip, splayed short oval foot ring, utilizing the thin layer of russet
inclusions in the stone, carved in low relief to one side with a monkey
holding a banner inscribed with the characters shanyuan delu (the
performance of good deeds will inevitably lead to eventual rewards),
the reverse undecorated, exhibiting a natural dark spot of perfect
circular form to the upper central section.
