A shadow agate snuff bottle

Well-hollowed, of compressed globular form with a cylindrical neck,
slightly recessed lip, finely rounded oval foot ring, the pale russet-gray
stone with dark inclusions, carved to one side with a hawk perching
on a branch above abstract rock formations.

A fine fluted agate snuff bottle
Imperial, Palace Workshops, Beijing, 1750-1820
Very well-hollowed, of tapering cylindrical form with an elegantly
waisted neck, concave lip, finely finished circular foot ring, the sides
with evenly spaced vertical fluted panels; the honey-toned matrix with
a few small patches of lighter color.
