NOTE:
The original owner of this painting was a member of several cultural
delegations of Czechoslovakia in China. Between 1957 and 1961, he
was the cultural attaché of Czechoslovakia in China.
While in China, the owner met Qi Baishi and got the painting
from the artist as a gift. Before the end of his diplomatic mission, he
was awarded in 1960 a “Friendship Among Nations” medal by the
Chairman of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China.
Since returning to his home country, the owner kept and displayed
the painting in his home. The painting has remained in the family
since the 1950s and was then passed on to the owner’s son.

註:此作品自1950年代以來一直保存於捷克藏家家中。現藏家之父
曾於1957至1961年間數次參與捷克斯洛伐克訪中代表團,擔任文化
官員。在停留中國期間,他訪問齊白石并獲贈此幅作品,在1960年
結束外交工作時,他被中國當局授予國家友誼勛章。後返回捷克,
作品一直存留家中,並傳承至今。
