AN AVENTURINE AND ROSE QUARTZ COURT NECKLACE,
CHAO ZHU
Late Qing Dynasty
Formed by one hundred and eight green aventurine beads separated
by four bigger rose quartz beads, the central strand supported by
a gourd shaped fotou, suspending the ‘back cloud’, beiyun, and a
final rose quartz drop, three additional stands with turquoise beads
terminating in rose quartz drops.

A KINGFISHER HAIR ORNAMENT

Of crescent form, applied in various hardstones and coral with a
central butterfly and trailing flower sprays attached to gilt wires, all on
a bright kingfisher feather ground divided by fine wires simulating leaf
veins.
