A YELLOW GROUND FAMILLE ROSE TRIPOD CENSER
AND COVER
Qianlong mark, Late Qing dynasty
The globular body rising from tripod legs each projecting puce
enamelled ferocious beasts, flanked by two detachable curved and
pierced handles, the domed cover with five pierced panels enclosing
molded bats surrounding shou medallions, the body with a scrolling
lotus pattern on a yellow ground, a six-character Qianlong mark in iron
red on the waisted neck.
